Job Brief
We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Kubernetes and AWS, a strong grasp of DevOps methodologies, and a passion for automation and system optimization. You will play a key role in managing and scaling cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kubernetes Cluster & Application Management:
Take ownership of Kubernetes clusters in production, managing deployment, scaling, and maintenance for optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Use Helm to streamline the management and deployment of Kubernetes applications, ensuring the lifecycle of services is efficient and scalable.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform, ensuring scalable, reproducible environments.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging:
Solve complex technical challenges across multiple services and systems. Proactively diagnose issues, provide clear resolutions, and minimize user impact.
- CI/CD Pipeline Automation:
Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated and smooth deployment processes. Collaborate with development teams to integrate GitHub Actions and improve workflows.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, system admins, and other stakeholders to optimize platform operations, enhance deployment cycles, and align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Data Pipeline Management:
Implement GitOps workflows (e.g., Flux) or similar tools to manage and automate data pipeline and infrastructure deployments.
- Security & Compliance:
Ensure cloud infrastructure follows industry security best practices, maintaining compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure, processes, and best practices. Actively contribute to a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role, with a focus on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure management.
- Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production, including troubleshooting, scaling, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Helm, and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Solid understanding of monitoring, observability, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- Skilled in debugging large-scale, distributed systems and delivering efficient solutions for complex problems.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows (e.g., Flux) or similar tools for pipeline orchestration.
- Proficiency with diverse Cloud Native technologies and projects.
- Expertise in AWS services and architecture.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipeline management, especially with GitHub Actions.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar Kubernetes-related certifications.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with Java or similar languages in microservices environments.
- Experience with Cloudflare and its suite of tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience is highly valued.
